Tournament Format

• 7 Reload Matches over 3 hours (with a mid-event food break)
• Solo, Zero Build format – No teammates, no builds, just raw skill
• Reload Mode: 2 reboots per match (until cutoff timer)
• Scoring:
  • Victory Royale = 15 points
  • 2nd Place = 10 points
  • 3rd Place = 5 points
  • Eliminations = 1 point each

Prizes for Top 3 Players

We are so happy to announce our first Fortnite tournament of 2025. We’ve got an exciting Fortnite event planned for you with a Solo Build Reload competition featuring 5 custom matches. Players will receive points for eliminations and placement. The top 3 highest scores will receive cash prizes and medals.

This tournament will feature Reload, which has 2 maps that rotate every 30 minutes. Players will be matched against only the other players in the tournament. This format will be very exciting because in Reload each player get 2 reboots or extra lives so that they can push the action and have a lot of fun. No need to camp or sit around waiting for the endgame when you’ve got extra lives to use.

The custom matches will be played using our Fortnite Creator Code: YesGaming. Please help support the gaming center and streams by using the code for any Vbuck purchases or Epic store buys. Thanks!

Players will be in 5 custom matches. Each match will be scored with 1 point per elimination and the following placement points.

We will be doing a new format for this event that we are very excited to prepare and host for you. This event will feature custom matchmaking for the players in this event only. Yes, you will be playing against the other gamers in the tournament and NOT open matchmaking. We will be using our Fortnite Creator Code: YesGaming to jump into custom matches on the regular battle royale match.

Yes! You read that right. We are doing a bi-game event with 2 different gaming competitions combined together to make one extraordinary tournament that will be epic and fun.

This open competition will feature both Chess and Super Smash. There will be chess boards setup as well as online chess available for players, along with Switches for the Super Smash portion. There will be  cash payouts for the top 3 players.

Event Details:

• Friday 10-18-24 – Open practice starts at 5pm with the first round kicking off by 6pm
• Total Entry = $15 – Venue fee-$7.50 / Bracket fee-$7.50 (This is for the pot for the top 3 players and will also receive medals.)
  • Payout is generally as follows: 1st – 60%, 2nd – 30%, 3rd – 10%
• The stream will be on twitch.tv/yesgaminggym or youtube.com/yesgaminggym or kick.com/yesgaming –
  • VODs will be uploaded to YES! Gaming Gym on Youtube after the stream ends.
• Registration Online: You can go to Start.gg now to register for this event. There will be walk-ins- on the day of the event but it helps to know how many players will be joining.

Game play:

You’ll play 2 minutes of Smash and then play 2 minutes of Chess you’ll keep doing this until someone gets checkmate or wins the Smash set, sets will be Bo5 throughout the entire tournament. Players will play RPS at the beginning of the set. The winner of RPS will ban 1 stage from the starter stages. The RPS loser will ban 2 stages from the starter stages. The winner will pick a stage from the remaining starter stages. STARTERS: Small Battlefield, Battlefield, Smashville, Town & City, and Pokémon Stadium 2 COUNTERPICKS: Kalos Pokémon League, Final Destination, and Hollow Bastion

After all following games, the winner of the game will ban 3 stages from the full stagelist (Starters + Counterpicks) and the loser of the game will choose from the remaining stages. There is DSR for this tournament. When the timer goes off you’ll press the home button and then play Chess and when the timer is done for Chess you’ll press the home button and in Smash both players will reset to neutral regardless of both players position. The Chess games will either happen on Chess.com or on a Chess board, just depends on what both players would rather do. If both players wish to have their game take place on a board and none are available you can wait to start until a board opens up.

Really excited to announce our next Fortnite Solo Zero Build Open tournament on Saturday December 16th from 1pm – 4pm. The winner of this event will be guaranteed a top cash prize of $50. Top 3 will earn medals and cash winnings. $15 entry fee for all players with a 3 hour play window.

Frosty Fortnite Cash Prizes:

• 1st Place = $50 + medal
• 2nd Place = $25 + medal
• 3rd Place = $15 + medal

This will be based on Fortnite Ranked Cup rules for placement and eliminations. Players must signed into their own accounts and have to be at least level 20. Gamers can play on PC or consoles but replays have to be on to verify results. We are hoping this will be our biggest Fortnite event so far. Let’s see who’s got the skills to knock out the competition and be crown our new Fortnite champ.

With the summer session coming to end and school starting back up, we will be moving our weekly Super Smash Open to Thursday Nights starting August 3. Walk-ins are always welcome but it’s good to pre-register to know how many folks are coming and help with rankings. This tournament is open to all ages and does qualify for state rankings. There will be cash prizes awarded to the top finishers, along with medals for the first 3 places in the bracket.
